By car:
Navigate to ‘ParkBee Parking Wisselspoor’, drive up to the barrier gate, scan the QR code and follow the steps. From the parking lot, it’s just a few minutes’ walk to Doloris Anoma Maze, via 2e Daalsedijk.
With public transportation:
Doloris is a 15-minute walk from Utrecht Central Station and Utrecht Zuilen.

How long does the experience take?
Doloris Meta Maze Tilburg:
You can wander as long as you want. The estimated time is between 30 and 60 minutes.
Doloris Anoma Maze Utrecht:
You can wander as long as you want. The estimated time is between 60 and 90 minutes.
How long will Doloris remain open?
Doloris is not a pop-up, but permanent. We are open indefinitely in both Tilburg and Utrecht.
It is my first visit to Doloris, should I choose the Tilburg or Utrecht maze?
The mazes in Tilburg and Utrecht are both 100% unique, with completely different rooms and contributing artists. Because Doloris Meta Maze Tilburg is the first and original Doloris Maze, we recommend you visit the one in Tilburg first, and try Doloris Anoma Maze Utrecht at a later date.

What is the price of a ticket?
Doloris Meta Maze Tilburg:
A ticket to Doloris Meta Maze ranges between €25 and €29, depending on the day of the week and time of year.
Doloris Anoma Maze Utrecht:
A ticket for Doloris Anoma Maze ranges between €25 and €29, depending on the day of the week and time of year.
Can I still change or cancel my time slot?
Tickets are booked on a specific timeslot. The spots are personally reserved for you and cannot be changed on the day.
It is possible to change the date and time up to 24 hours (1 day) before your visit. If your visit takes place in less than 24 hours, you can no longer change the reservation. If you cannot make your time slot or don’t use your tickets, your tickets will expire.
Tickets for a time slot cannot be canceled after purchase unless you have purchased the “possibility of cancellation” with your tickets. With the cancellation option, you have the option to cancel your tickets up to 5 minutes before your reservation begins and get a refund. The 2 euros you pay per ticket for the option to cancel is not included in the refund.
Can I buy tickets at the door?
You can purchase tickets at the check-in machines at our venue, but there may be a chance that there are no available timeslots. To avoid disappointment at the door, we recommend purchasing your tickets online in advance.
Can I make a reservation for more than 8 people?
If you want to book with a group larger than 8 people for the Meta Maze or 9 people for the Anoma Maze, you can do so here.
Please note that it is not possible to book this on weekends. This is not logistically feasible and comes at the expense of the experience we want to offer.
Can I give Doloris as a gift?
It is possible to give the experience as a gift with a unique gift box. You can buy the gift box for both Tilburg and Utrecht here.
The gift card is valid only on regular tickets and is not valid on tickets with possibility of cancellation or special promotion tickets.
Accessibility
Do I have to be blindfolded?
Yes, this is mandatory. This is part of the experience. Everyone who visits Doloris Meta Maze is blindfolded. As soon as you enter the Meta Maze, your blindfold is removed and your journey begins.
This does not apply to Doloris Anoma Maze Utrecht. Here you enter Doloris without a blindfold.
Can I enter Doloris together with my friend?
You can come to the Doloris together, but you enter Doloris individually. This is an important part of the experience. So you explore the maze individually. It is not possible to enter the maze together. There is a small chance that you will run into each other in the maze.
Can I bring my belongings into the Maze?
Upon arrival at our venue, all phones and (smart) watches, cameras, bags, coats and accessories have to be stored in a rented locker, which you rent for €2.50. Lockers can only be rented by contactless payment with your debit card. Large backpacks and laptop bags (15″ and up) do not fit in the lockers. Please leave these bags at home. Please note that if you bring more than just a coat, such as a backpack, it is mandatory to rent a locker.
If you want to keep your phone/watch in your possession, you can use a Yondr case. This case can only be opened again at the end of the experience. The use of Yondr case is free of charge.
When can I not visit Doloris?
Please note that the Meta Maze and Anoma Maze are both individual experiences.
Doloris not accessible when you are:
- pregnant
- prone to epileptic seizures
- physically and/or mentally unstable
- in a wheelchair
- under 12 years old
- claustrophobic or have a fear of small, dark spaces
- an anxiety disorder
- under the influence of alcohol or stimulants
- night-blind/see poorly in the dark

Doloris can be physically challenging. You explore Doloris by climbing and crawling, so you must not have a weak back or ankles. Inside, there are plenty of spaces to rest if you become tired.
Unfortunately, Doloris is not suitable or accessible for everyone. To enter the maze, you must be in good physical condition.
Is Doloris suitable when you are big(ger)?
The following concerns only Doloris Anoma Maze Utrecht:
- Some spots in the maze are tighter than you may be used to from Doloris Meta Maze in Tilburg.
- When in doubt, take the furthest right entrance of the maze, and the further right exit.
- There are several green buttons in the maze that allow you to leave the experience (early) through an emergency door.
- When in doubt ask a staff member on location for advice.
Is it scary?
Doloris Meta Maze Tilburg
Doloris is not meant to be scary at all, but rather to stimulate all your senses. There are no actors or elements inside to scare you.
Doloris Anoma Maze Utrecht
There are some mildly scary elements in the maze.
What is the minimum age?
The minimum age to visit Doloris is 12 years old. We chose this age because it is an individual experience and children as young as 12 can experience it on their own.
There is no maximum age, if you are physically fit, you can visit Doloris.
What clothes are best to put on?
We recommend that you wear comfortable clothes in which you can move easily. Do not wear your best and newest clothes. Because Doloris is physically challenging, there are some restrictions on your outfit.
- Wear sturdy shoes; no high heels or flip-flops.
- Wear clothes in which you can move easily.
Because you are physically engaged, you may get hot in the maze, so it is best to wear a t-shirt. You are inside crawling and climbing, therefore long pants will be most comfortable during the experience.
Is Doloris suitable for schools and education?
Yes, it certainly is! Doloris is an exciting and approachable way to learn about art and culture, designed and built in collaboration with dozens of artists.

Where can I spend the night in Tilburg?
If you are coming from very far away, or just planning to stay in Tilburg, Doloris has made a nice selection of two hotels and a hostel in Tilburg to make things easier for you.

Mercure Hotel Tilburg Centrum is located in the center of Tilburg. Modern rooms are available with satellite TV and a minibar. There is also a cozy terrace on the street side.
Are pets allowed at Doloris?
Unfortunately, pets are not allowed at Doloris, with the exception of certified assistance dogs. Due to the nature and safety of the experience, assistance dogs unfortunately cannot enter the experience itself. Additionally, we are unable to accommodate unattended assistance dogs in the waiting area.
Who are the creators of the Meta Maze?
Doloris Meta Maze was built by the art collective KARMANOIA and other (inter)national artists.
To generate positive impulses on human perception, Karmanoia creates immersive environments, such as Peristal Singum in Berlin. Through the deep creative need of humans, they provide the world with art installations.
Karmanoia is an artistic collective, and over the past 15 years, their cultural platform has functioned as an incubator for people of all talents.
Through Karmanoia, musicians, performers, builders and visionaries have discovered their potential by connecting with others with similar desires.
